Disability Access
Our commitment to making this website usable by everyone.
Last updated: June 2026
Our commitment
Senator Haruna Manu’s office is committed to ensuring this website is accessible to all visitors, including persons with disabilities, in the spirit of Nigeria’s Discrimination Against Persons with Disabilities (Prohibition) Act, 2018, which guarantees persons with disabilities equal access to public information and services.
Standard we aim for
This site aims to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, the standard most public-sector and government websites worldwide use as a baseline. In practice that means:
- Text and background colors meet minimum contrast ratios.
- Every page can be navigated by keyboard alone, not just a mouse.
- Images carry descriptive alt text for screen readers.
- Headings follow a logical order so screen-reader users can navigate by section.
Known issues
We haven’t completed a full accessibility audit of the live site yet. This section will be updated once one is done.
